Life during the War
Everyday life During the War
There was limited supplies during the war, and a lot of factory workers had to make guns and plane parts, so everyone had to look after what they had.
Everyone used to cover up holes in their clothes using patches.
Children used to go to toy-exchanges to get different toys, because no new toys were being made
Food was rationed so no one could take more than their fair share.
Children went to school but their schools had air raid shelters in case the alarm sounded. They also had to carry their gas masks everywhere.
